Join Seed Sewers for a fun evening of hands-on Introduction to Machine Sewing workshop designed specifically for complete beginners and those returning to sewing after many years away. During this class, you’ll build a strong foundation by learning: The basic parts of a sewing machine What each part does and how the machine works How to safely thread the upper thread and wind/install a bobbin How to properly operate the machine Basic sewing terminology Tips for avoiding common beginner mistakes How to become more comfortable and confident using a sewing machine This is a relaxed, encouraging environment where questions are welcome and no prior sewing experience is required. By the end of class, you’ll leave feeling more confident operating a sewing machine and ready to continue your sewing journey. Each participant will receive a beginner take-home resource packet that includes: Sewing machine diagrams Beginner sewing tips Helpful reference materials Additional resources to practice after class Each participant will also be able to take home a small pocket pouch. Whether your goal is to hem your own clothes, make home décor projects, learn a new hobby, or eventually sew your own garments, this class will give you the foundational skills you need to get started.
